Air China Launches Online Check In at RomeHome > About Us > Air China News > Air China Launches Online Check In at Rome On August 18, 2009, Air China officially launched the online check-in service for international flights at Rome Airport, making Rome the tenth international city where Air China provides this service. Online check-in for passengers who have purchased e-tickets for flights operated by Air China departing from Rome begins at 16h00 on the day prior to the scheduled flight departure and will close four hours prior to the scheduled flight departure. Passengers may log on to Air China's China website airchina.com.cn or the Italy website air-china.it and proceed with the online check-in process. Passengers may select seats according to personal preferences and print boarding passes on A4 paper. After presenting valid ID documents at the airport check-in counter, passengers may head to the airport waiting room to rest and relax. The on-line check-in service allows passengers to reduce the time spent waiting in line at the airport counters. Passengers can now access the Air China website and check-in online for flights departing from more than 50 Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou as well as flights departing from over 10 international cities (regions) such as Tokyo, London, and Vancouver. In an effort to facilitate this service for more passengers, Air China will be gradually extending the online check-in service to be launched in Sydney, Melbourne and various other cities.
