Cargo Claim NoticeHome > About Us > About Cargo > Cargo Claim Notice I. Cargo ClaimAfter the goods arrive at the destination, Air China’s cargo department will notify the consignee to claim the goods in accordance to the consignee's name, address or telephone number listed in the Shipper's Letter of Instruction. The consignee should present the Arrival Requisition, or the consignee's part of the Shipper's Letter of Instruction along with valid identification (Inhabitant Identity Card, passport, officer card, soldier card, civilian officer card, residence booklet etc…) to pick up the goods at an Air China appointed counter. If a person is picking up the goods for the consignee, he/she must present the Arrival Requisition or the consignee's part of the Shipper's Letter of Instruction along with the consignee's identification. and complete the claim formalities. All formalities of customs and quarantine and payment of all charges (carriage, storage, fees, etc…) must be taken care of before completing the claim formalities. II. Storage regulationsGeneral cargo Valuable cargo Dangerous goods From the date when the Arrival Requisition is issued, Air China will keep free of charge the perishable or other goods that need cold storage for 6 hours. The overtime charge is RMB 0.5 Yuan per day and per 1kg. If the period of storage is less than 1 day, it will be calculated as 1 day. The minimum storage charge is RMB 10 Yuan. III. Undeliverable goods and its settlementGoods that have not been picked up within 14 days will be treated as undeliverable goods for the following reasons:
International goods which have not been picked up within 90 days and domestic goods which have not been picked up within 60 days and there is no response from the shipper, Air China will deal with the goods in accordance with air transport regulations. |
